Trying to do Faminy Home Evening the Best We Can....

We haven't always been the best at being consistent about Family Home Evening, but when we do, they can be unforgettable. At least we learned some lessons here.

Lesson #1 Don't stick anything up your nose!

This is the result of us playing the game battleship. Riley put a Battleship peg up her nose. I don't know what she was thinking, but she really started to freak-out about how uncomfortable it got. We were trying not to laugh to much. If you look really close you can see the peg in the left nostril.

This is so typical when we try to do normal family activities.

Then we decided to try an experiment with the kids. After making them eat baby food while I was fixing dinner, we washed the baby food containers out, and poured heave cream in them, and let the kids do a pinch of salt.
We were obviously were making homemade butter-old fashioned style, but the kids didn't know that.

That was a lot of shaking for little kids, so we did help a little. They were so amazed when the cream started to thicken.

After the butter was already, they poured it out and spread it out on warm blueberry muffins that had just come out of the oven. Yummy! The butter didn't last very long!

Lesson #2 Not all activities will end in kaos. They really enjoyed this one!
